Berlin is a vibrant city with plenty to keep visitors busy within the city but also much that can be explored further afield with a rental car from Brandenburg airport.
Berlin became the capital of re-unified Germany in 1990 and there has been much that has changed within the city in that time. It is a city that is rich in culture with something to suit everyone's tastes. Come to Berlin for a carnival, visit the museums, eat out at one of the many fine-dining restaurants or take the kids to the zoo.
With your hire car from Brandenburg airport you can explore a number of wonderful places within easy reach of Berlin
Potsdam This beautiful city is only about an hour's drive from Berlin and can boast the stunning Schloss Sanssouci with its elaborately decorated rooms and stunning gardens.
Spreewald This calm and tranquil forest offers the chance for some kayaking on its long stretches of canal. Unbelievable to imagine that all this is just over an hour from such a large city.
Harz Mountains This fabulous location may be better as a stopover from Berlin as the mountains are a good two and a half hours away but there are plenty of pretty towns to stay in. Many of these towns are medieval set amid picturesque scenery.

The rental car desks are located on level EO of Terminal 1. If you have reserved your car to pick up from Berlin Airport, you can collect your keys and rental documents from here.
Rental vehicles are kept in car park P2 and you will be directed here once you have sorted out any paperwork at the desk. P2 is only about three minutes walk from the terminal.
You will need to return your hire car to the same car park - just follow the Rental Car Returns signs when you get back to the airport. There are car rental safes available for out of ours returns but please read your own rental paperwork to understand what you are expected to do on your return.
