One of the most popular reasons for visiting Knock is the pilgrimage to the shrine which is about an 8 mile journey from the airport. In fact the area usually has more than a million visitors every year.

Knock Airport (Also known as Ireland West Airport) is located just off the N17 which is the main road running between Galway and Sligo. The N17 is clearly signposted from the airport - just make sure when you get on the N17 you are heading in the right direction!
