Santiago de Compostela airport is also known as Santiago - Rosalia do Castro airport. It is the second busiest airport in the north of Spain with Bilbao being the busiest. It takes about 20 minutes to drive from the airport to the centre of Santiago de Compostela.
During the off season, flights are mostly domestic but as the season peaks there are more options including direct flights with easyJet from London Gatwick and with Ryanair to London Stansted.

The car hire offices are on the ground floor of the terminal building at Santiago airport. Many of the car hire companies have their vehicles parked within the airport grounds but some such as Goldcar and Sixt offer a shuttle bus service to take you to where you can collect your car. This is a free service and only takes a few minutes.
To find the shuttle buses, go down to floor -3 from the arrivals hall and the shuttle bus meeting point is inside the parking area. Look out for the shuttle meeting point sign.
If you need to refuel on your return, there is a petrol station at the last roundabout before you reach the airport. Though do bear in mind that you are likely to find cheaper fuel away from the airport.
