Compare Car Hire Excess Insurance

SimplyExcess has in recent days fully launched its range of car hire excess insurance policies on the MoneyMaxim website.

They are the first new brand to be added this year, although we are expecting more new names to follow. We have also seen the reintroduction of Chew Insurance following their recent change of underwriters.

SimplyExcess are a totally new brand - but are steeped in the history of Car Hire Excess Insurance, as the driving force behind the new company is John Jansson, who co-founded Insurance4CarHire back in 2002, creating the first insurance company offering such cover.

On leaving Insurance4carhire John felt there were many new opportunities in the market, and he created SimplyExcess to exploit these for the benefit of customers.

One such development is their Weekaway policy - which means those hiring a car for a week pay for 7 days cover - whatever time of day they collect and drop back the car.

Another is a UK and Ireland policy which delivers lower prices for those staying in the British Isles (reflecting the lower claims likely as users are driving on the same side of the road as they are accustomed to).

SimplyExcess also offer a lower price annual policy specifically for rentals in Spain - ideal for second home owners who regularly visit the country.

They cover garage loan and courtesy cars too - and offer a neat way to extend these policies online should your own car be delayed in the garage slightly longer than anticipated.

Currently they offer cover around the world, excepting the Americas, but this is likely to be added soon, and they also have plans to insure more users who currently cannot find appropriate insurance.

As new features are added these will be compared on the MoneyMaxim Car Hire Excess Insurance Service, which is constantly extending its reach.

Over the past year we have seen those under 21 being able to find cover, as well as those over 85, and we are aware more new areas should be covered soon - so whenever you need excess insurance don't forget to visit MoneyMaxim to check out all your options.
