General Driving Information

You will need an international driving permit to hire a car in Senegal.

Car Hire

Fuel Policies & Mileage Restrictions

Most but not all car hire companies have fair Full to Full fuel policies and unlimited mileages.

Cross Border Travel

Some car hire companies do not allow any cross border travel, others will allow you to drive through the Gambia saving a considerable drive if you wish to reach the southern regions of Ziguinchor, Sédhiou and Kolda. But again, do check the FCO advice if travelling to these regions.
