Most Martinique car rentals through our site do seem reasonably free from unexpected extras added to your bill, but do make sure that airport location fees and local taxes in particular have been included in the rate shown so you don't get any nasty surprises.
Most car hires have fair fuel policies, meaning you will typically pick up your car with a full tank of fuel and nothing will be charged so long as you return it full.
If you need to add more than one driver do check the rates carefully as there can be a wide discrepancy in rates - most are pretty reasonable and will charge under €20 per hire period or &euro2-3 per day. However, we have seen charges of €20 per day making a massive difference to the overall rental cost.
Most cars rented through our site will come with collision damage and theft waivers and third party insurance. There are exceptions. Budget, for example, do not when booking direct (though they may if you finish up with a Budget car through another broker).
Excesses on collision damage and theft waivers are pretty high in Martinique - €1,200 - €2,000 are typical for modest rental cars. Compare car hire insurance using the MoneyMaxim comparison service rather than pay the rates they ask for.
Where stated, third party insurance coverages are generous - often with cover into tens of millions of Euros or unlimited cover, but not all specify the level of cover provided.
