If you rent a car in Indonesia you will find the process broadly similar to that you would find in Europe. Most rental agreements include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Third Party Insurance. What is slightly unusual is that excesses can apply to your third party liability as well as the CDW and Theft Protection - normally between US$500 and US$1,000 depending on the car you hire.
